Kayla Itsines Bikini Body Guide Week 2 | Fitness Friday

Following on from my experiences of the bikini body guide in the first week (link here), here are this weeks findings! I'm so proud that I've kept this up for 2 weeks, only 10 more to go!

Love me beauty July

Love me beauty JulySo after three months of trying out love me beauty my final box finally fell through my letter box (actually missed the delivery and had to go all the way to the collection office, but you know)! One bad thing about LBM (love me beauty) is how long it takes to reach you from selecting your box! For a time frame I selected my box on the 5th July and it got to me on the 18th, so that's a whole two weeks!

Models Own Hypergel Polishes

Models own hyper gel naked glow
L-R Naked Glow, Pink Veneer, Lilac Sheen, Red Lustre

Who loves gel nails? I love gel nails! Ok more a love/hate relationship really. I love how shiny they look and how long the last but I hate the removal side, whenever I remove gel nails my nails feel weak and a bit damaged. (Not sure if I just suck at removing them though!) Plus they get pricey. All the brands now seem to be launching their own gel-style nails, which look like gel nails but can be easily removed and have a wider colour selection, plus they're cheaper! To which I bring you model owns offering! HyperGel nail polish...

Cleaning make up brushes

No7 make up brush cleanser

How often do you clean your make up brushes? Once a week, once I month? I used to be awful at cleaning them! Shamefully awful! I'd leave it until they looked really dirty! Probably about once every 2months I'd decide to actually deep clean my brushes with baby shampoo. That routine is long gone now. I still use the baby shampoo for a deep clean every month but I now spot clean after every use.

Fitness motivation quote

Like most girls, at some point or another I've had things about my appearance that I've disliked; be it the way my fringe refuses to hang properly sometimes, or the way my bum looks in skinny jeans, or how my upper arms feel chunky. Although these things may have niggled at me they have never  really bothered me to the extent of actually making me feel low about myself. Something sadly I'm all too familiar with now. Right now I despise my body. Absolutely hate it. I even feel disgusted looking in the mirror sometimes, the person staring back at me isn't the image I have in my head.

June Love Me Beauty

This is my second Love me beauty box out of my three month and if I'm being brutally honest, I'm not blown away by it. I feel the quality of the full size products aren't as good as I've seen them have in the past and the sample sizes are quite small. Hopefully next month will be an improvement?

June Birchbox

It's time for June's Birchbox unboxing! On a side note I can't believe it's June already!! Where is this year going! As most of you will be away this month is all about football around the world and Birchbox has grabbed onto that football theme for this months box with "Global strikers". Don't worry you won't find smelly socks or football accessories in here though, instead they've hand picked products from a few of the countries playing.

As Brazil is the host nation for this years world cup the Birchbox pouch is bright green and yellow! Brazil also is represented in an OPI nail varnish and the lifestyle extra. The tips cards also have colourful football themed backs.

REVIEW+SWATCHES: Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette

Such pretty shades!

My lovely boyfriend bought me the Urban Decay Naked 3 palette for valentines day! I officially have him trained so well haha. He didn't even know what it was but just knew I really wanted it. Bless him!

It completes my collection of the naked palettes (excluding the basics), this one is definitely the most different out of the three. Naked 1 and Naked 2 were both quite similar with more bronze, browns and golds shades but this one is more rose gold/pink toned - it's just beautiful.

The palette comes with a synthetic dual-ended eyeshadow brush, one for blending and one for placing, similar to the one you get in the Naked 2 palette. The brush is of a nice quality and I find myself using it a lot. You also receive a sample pack of 4 primer potions; original, Eden (nude matt), sin (shimmer) and anti ageing, which come in circular pods. Each squeezy pod has enough product for about a weeks worth of usage.

The packaging is similar to the Naked 2 with a click close lid, something I prefer to the magnetic Naked 1 lid as it will protect the shadows from damage more. It has a rose gold plastic outer packaging which will stay looking pristine for longer (make naked palette tends to look grubby a lot of the time - due to its felt finish)! Built into the lid is a large mirror, which if you're taking this on holiday is great as it's one less thing you need to pack!

The Shades

The shades are just beautiful. All are buttery soft, super pigmented and easy to blend. These shades can create a pretty romantic look that's perfect for spring/summer or even bridal makeup - to a smokey eye night time look using black heart.

Strange: a very light pink matte. A perfect shade for highlighting under the brows or the corner of the eyes.

Dust: a pale metallic pink shimmer with micro-glitter. This is possibly one of my favourites, it's such a pretty colour with a pink shimmer. Does have some fall out though.

Burnout: a light peach satin.

Limit: a light pale pink rose matte. A good colour to use all of the lid for a no-make up make up look.

Buzz: a metallic rose shimmer with  micro-glitter. love love love this one! Has a great colour pay off. I like to use this as a definition colour with dust.

Trick: a metallic bronze shimmer with micro-glitter. Has the same formulation as buzz but is more golden toned. I like to team burnout with trick.

Nooner: a medium mauve/brown matte. Great for a transition crease colour.

Liar: a metallic mauve shimmer.

Factory: a brown satin.

Mugshot: a metallic taupe shimmer.

Darkside: a deep purple-brown satin.

Blackheart: a smoky black matte with red micro-sparkle. This is beautiful! It's very pigmented and it's best to work up little by little as it has A LOT of staying power, so blend as you go to control it! I love that its a warm black, perfect to and some warmth to a smokey eye.

Swatches - photos taken in natural daylight with no flash

Overall I love this palette! The shadows are super pigmented and easily blended and to be honest it's worth every penny! You'll find yourself using it all the time and it's perfect for spring/summer looks. This one was bought for £37 at Debenhams but you can also pick it up in House of Fraser or on Feelunique.com.

Have you tried the Naked 3 palette? If so what's your favourite shade/shades?

April Glossybox

I've been receiving Glossybox for just over a year now and I've noticed it going gradually more and more downhill. What started off as something amazing is becoming something quite repetitive and uninspiring.

Since I started blogging in the new year I've made posts on each box I've received this year, so you can see for yourself if you think they are worth the money. January was very disappointing View it here, February they really tried to buck their ideas up View it here, March was disappointing view it here and then this month was disappointing again.

This months products

Monu Spa warming ginger massage & body oil
Monu is a brand that if you receive Glossybox you will know all about, I must have had maybe 5 different products by this brand and to be honest it's getting repetitive. I like to find new brands in beauty boxes not the same one over and over again - especially when you fill out box surveys and say that you would not like to receive more samples by them!

This smells very gingery and not something I would really use as the smell alone puts me off!

Tresemme instant refresh cleansing dry shampoo
Similarly with Tresemme, its a well known brand - one I actually do purchase and one I see a lot in glossy boxes. Off the top of my head I've had hair spray, deep treatment, shampoos and conditioner and now this dry shampoo. Again I'd like new brands not the same ones again and again. I'll still use this once my batiste runs out.

He-Shi Professional Tanning face and body gel
A new brand and new product to me, this is a tanning gel that gives you instant colour as well as developing into a long lasting tan. I'll save this one to test out when it starts getting hotter and I need to get my pale white legs out for the first time! Happy to have received this product to try.

MeMeMe Cosmetics Beat the blues - pearl pink
Another brand I've seen in Glossybox before, I've previously received their lip and cheek stain. Beat the blues is a liquid highlighter similar to Benefits high beam and much cheaper at only £5.50 for a full size! It's slightly pinker than high beam and has a different consistency, but for the price this is a really good product. You can see in the blended swatch that it adds a shimmer to the skin without adding glitter or sparkle.

Emite Make up Lip Brush - L312
I've never heard of this brand before and I don't actually own any lip brushes so I'll definitely be using this product! It's a soft fibre slanted brush, with synthetic talon hair bristles.

Overall I'm disappointed with this box, only two brands were new. If you compare it to this months Birchbox, they were miles better in my opinion. For that reason I've actually unsubscribed to Glossybox now, I just can't justify spending £13 a month on it anymore.

What did you think of this months box? Did you get anything different?
