L'Oreal Paris Color Riche Collection Privée Eva Barely Golden

L'Oreal Paris Color Riche Collection Privée Eva Barely Golden

I don’t know about you but I struggle to find nude lipsticks that suit me. I don’t have a weird skin tone or anything, I think I just never really knew what would really suit me. I hate the no lips nude look, I’d rather have a my lips but better kind of lipstick. Which is why when I saw the L’Oréal stand in boots one day I just had to have one of their Privee tailor made nude lipsticks.

They come in six custom made nude shades chosen by six L’Oréal Paris spokespersons:

  • Cheryl Cole Barely Greig (for those with fair skin with a yellow undertone and mid-dark hair)
  • Doutzen Kroes Barely Pink (for blondes with fair skin tones)
  • Freida Pinto Barely Parma(For those with an amber complexion)
  • Julianne Moore Barely Peach (for those with fair skin tones with blonde or red hair)
  • Eva Longoria Barely Golden (for those with a golden complexion with dark hair)
  • Liya Kebede Barely Moka (for those with darker skin tones)

All of which will suit different skin tones, so the idea is you look at which spokesperson has a similar skin tone and hair colouring to you and pick their shade :).

I love the packaging of these, black and gold always looks sophisticated and sheek. Looks quite high end in my opinion! Although the lid only fits one way due to a little nip in the bottom, which can be a little annoying if you’re in a hurry to get the lid back on. The actual formula of these lipsticks is very moisturising, application is easy and glides on as they are so smooth and creamy. Only down side to this is that it doesn’t last all day but I’d say it’s about the same longevity as most of my other lipsticks so don’t let that put you off. They have quite distinctive scent, it smells slightly floral but not too overpowering and you can’t smell it once you’ve applied it to your lips, so that's not a negative just an observation.

The nude shade that suited me most was Eva Longoria’s version in Barely Golden. Eva’s skin tone is darker than mine but I do have a yellow undertone which is why I think it still suits me. It’s a peachy gold shade, which will look great on most brunettes, especially with a tan! The warm base helps to bring out the radiance and warmth in your skin, which definitely helps in these winter months! It has a slight shimmery finish, not a glittery shimmer but a natural sheen that is gorgeous and makes your lips look plumper.
