REVIEW+SWATCHES: Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette

Such pretty shades!

My lovely boyfriend bought me the Urban Decay Naked 3 palette for valentines day! I officially have him trained so well haha. He didn't even know what it was but just knew I really wanted it. Bless him!

It completes my collection of the naked palettes (excluding the basics), this one is definitely the most different out of the three. Naked 1 and Naked 2 were both quite similar with more bronze, browns and golds shades but this one is more rose gold/pink toned - it's just beautiful.

The palette comes with a synthetic dual-ended eyeshadow brush, one for blending and one for placing, similar to the one you get in the Naked 2 palette. The brush is of a nice quality and I find myself using it a lot. You also receive a sample pack of 4 primer potions; original, Eden (nude matt), sin (shimmer) and anti ageing, which come in circular pods. Each squeezy pod has enough product for about a weeks worth of usage.

The packaging is similar to the Naked 2 with a click close lid, something I prefer to the magnetic Naked 1 lid as it will protect the shadows from damage more. It has a rose gold plastic outer packaging which will stay looking pristine for longer (make naked palette tends to look grubby a lot of the time - due to its felt finish)! Built into the lid is a large mirror, which if you're taking this on holiday is great as it's one less thing you need to pack!

The Shades

The shades are just beautiful. All are buttery soft, super pigmented and easy to blend. These shades can create a pretty romantic look that's perfect for spring/summer or even bridal makeup - to a smokey eye night time look using black heart.

Strange: a very light pink matte. A perfect shade for highlighting under the brows or the corner of the eyes.

Dust: a pale metallic pink shimmer with micro-glitter. This is possibly one of my favourites, it's such a pretty colour with a pink shimmer. Does have some fall out though.

Burnout: a light peach satin.

Limit: a light pale pink rose matte. A good colour to use all of the lid for a no-make up make up look.

Buzz: a metallic rose shimmer with  micro-glitter. love love love this one! Has a great colour pay off. I like to use this as a definition colour with dust.

Trick: a metallic bronze shimmer with micro-glitter. Has the same formulation as buzz but is more golden toned. I like to team burnout with trick.

Nooner: a medium mauve/brown matte. Great for a transition crease colour.

Liar: a metallic mauve shimmer.

Factory: a brown satin.

Mugshot: a metallic taupe shimmer.

Darkside: a deep purple-brown satin.

Blackheart: a smoky black matte with red micro-sparkle. This is beautiful! It's very pigmented and it's best to work up little by little as it has A LOT of staying power, so blend as you go to control it! I love that its a warm black, perfect to and some warmth to a smokey eye.

Overall I love this palette! The shadows are super pigmented and easily blended and to be honest it's worth every penny! You'll find yourself using it all the time and it's perfect for spring/summer looks. This one was bought for £37 at Debenhams but you can also pick it up in House of Fraser or on Feelunique.com.

Have you tried the Naked 3 palette? If so what's your favourite shade/shades?
