June Love Me Beauty

This is my second Love me beauty box out of my three month and if I'm being brutally honest, I'm not blown away by it. I feel the quality of the full size products aren't as good as I've seen them have in the past and the sample sizes are quite small. Hopefully next month will be an improvement?

This month I picked Edition 1

Model Co - Ultra shine lip gloss in Fairy floss RRP £12

This lipgloss claims to be "non-sticky" and long lasting, let me tell you, this is sticky. When I pulled the wand out of the tube it was obvious of the consistency before I had even swatched it. It has a stringy sticky gloop thats hangs onto the wand as you slide it out keeping it connected to the tube - yuck! I also don't like the packaging, not the design as such but when unscrewing it feels very scratchy against the bottle and just feels cheap, which at £12 this isn't a particularly cheap lip gloss. On a more positive note the colour is a nice bright pink with flecks of shimmer to help reflect the light to give you ultra glossy lips, it also smells very sweet and the packaging has a handy mirror.

NYX Cosmetics - nail polish in winter RRP £3

It's quite ironic getting a polish called winter when it's actually starting to get more summery outside! I actually think "winter" is quite a pretty shade, it's a sheer shimmery peachy pink. Which depending on the look you want to achieve can be layered up for more impact. I think this will look lovely over a bold colour to add a bit of frosting, for £3 I think this is a bargain.

Montagne Jeunesse - Brazilian mud fabric mask RRP £1

I've been meaning to give fabric face masks a whirl for a while, so this is perfect! Can't wait to give it a try, even if I will look a bit strange for 10 minutes.

Beauty UK- Eyeshadow palette in "Earth Child" RRP £3.99

This is what actually swayed me over to edition 1; I'm a sucker for eyeshadow palettes and the shades in here looked very wearable. Sadly I think it's worth it's £3.99, some shades are really chalky in consistency or not very pigmented at all. Staying power is also not great, even with a good primer. I think this palette would be ideal for someone who is just discovering make up and is on a small budget, but for me this doesn't come close to my other eyeshadow palettes.

Urban Veda - Purifying Day Cream RRP £14.99

When selecting editions I actually mistakenly thought we would be getting a pot of this cream, so was disappointed to find a tiny sample tube. Urban Veda is a brand I've seen pop up in most beauty boxes at sometime, they use natural ingredients with no paragons or GM products. The purifying day cream is for those with oil prone skin and had pore refining and mattifying qualities, due to the witch hazel, spearmint and neem oil it contains. Witch hazel is something a lot of natural spot treatments contain so I bet this will help with spots too! I'll definitely be using it, just wish I had more sample!

Which edition did you go for this month? I'm thinking I might not continue with this once my 3 months are up? Hmmm...
